Knee’s on the mend…
Finally, I feel I am getting somewhere with my knee. I’ve been to see the Doc, 2 times in the last 5 weeks since I messed it up. At first he suggested I may have dislodged the cartilage a little, now he just insists that I am to rest it, and hopefully things are going to be all good. I have to say i’ve played football twice on it, when I really shouldn’t, and I don’t feel bad for it. I feel a little worried about it, as I know it’s not a 100%, but it’s getting there. Seems to be a long ol’ process – but I hear knee injuries are never simple? I’ve got to wait another 3 weeks, then see whether I need to see the Doc again! I hope I don’t have to, that’ll be 8 weeks since I did it!
Until then, i’ve got a knee bandage, day after day and HEAPS of Ibuprofen (Pain Killers) to live on… “Joy”
Kinda annoying, when I went back into the doctors, he recognized me, but asked if i had been recently, I was like “Yeah sure, I came two weeks ago, about my knee?”. He remembered me, but he didn’t have notes on his comp. Obviously he forgot to do that, so the first 15 minutes I was with him, he was asking me what we went through, what he prescribed and all that! Psshh.. Doctor’s! The most annoying part of it all, was having to watch him type. He has 8 fingers and two thumbs, yet he manages to use only 1 of those 10 digits at the time – it’s painful to watch, TRUST ME!
I hate being away from my fitness, I’m gonna get fan and lose muscle (shut it people! ) If I truly rest it. I need to be running, cycling and foot-balling again, ASAP!

Hope your knee gets better. My brother in law plays football religiously, both for school and on the weekends with friends. He’s always injuring something. last time he got hit in the chest, what is it about football that you guys can’t let your injuries heal.

Hahaha .. that’s what you get with public healthcare! SUCKAAAAA!
Nah, good luck with the knee! I’d for sure rest it or you could like my sister, really just mess it up for good! Hopefully you lay low, sacrifice maybe doing all you want for a bit, but then you’ll have a healthy knee for the rest of your life! I reckon that’s a good enough pay off for maybe missing a bit of football?

Steve
A) Ibruprofen is not a pain killer, it is an anti-inflamatry. Take 800 MG with 1000 MG of Paracetamol (2 tablets of each)
If you want to have a little fun, take 4 or 5 times that amount. But just once. Liver see.
B) you will only loose muscle mass if you are not getting enough protein into your muscles, the body when low on energy will rip it from the muscles and causes the muscles to break down.
C) there is muscle memory. They will get back to their former size quiet quick.
My wrist is fully healed, no pains. Left hook is back in action. Im working out everyday, doing all my routine training and then some.
Good luck with the leg dawg

Haha, cheers mate. The doc told me those tablets were anti-inflamatary and for pain relief?! *shrug* To be honest, this isn’t my field, i’ve been to the doc like 5 times in my whole life, and this is the worst injury i’ve ever had!
Cheers for the advice though, a little encouraging!
So frustrating at the moment though, Just doesn’t seem to want to let me go!!
Glad to hear the wrist is all better mate, sounds like you were feeling the MIA stuff, as much as I STILL am!

Because it is anti inflamatry it will reduce the pain…but paracetamol will help also.
Ive had such a wonderful day today, I feel great.
