…And Then…

So Christmas has been and gone, and sheesh has things been hectic. The buildup to the weekend was drinking, chilling and hanging out with some friends. Was really nice actually, enjoyed it – although it felt like i had little time to actually chill out. None-the-less, it was cool… I met some people, I didn’t expect to meet, grabbed a few numbers and it was good stuff! No, nothing ‘like that’… Just friends! :P

Friday night was equally interesting for another reason. We managed to ‘re-acquire’ my dad’s bike… It was stolen on the 13th December, and 10 days later, we recover it. When we say ‘recover’, it was more a case of ‘re-capture’. For a few days, we’ve known ROUGHLY where it was, but without going into too much detail, that Friday we realized where it was specifically. So with a little help, we nabbed it back… I wonder how it makes them feel, to have it ‘stolen’ back? Strangely, the garage it was stored in, wasn’t even locked… What idiots! I’d love to have seen their face, when they opened the garage and saw the bike GONE… The garage door left wide open, much like the gates to our home. The image must of been priceless…

The bike itself, isn’t actually in too bad condition, better than i’d of hoped. Since this picture, we’ve cleaned it up, and it almost looks as good as new. They’d removed the registration plate and tax disc, the tail light, the mirrors and that’s ‘about’ it. So no major damage – just tonnes of mud from where they’ve been ragging it around the fields… Aww, their fun was short lived, boo hoo! :)

Here’s a link to the blog-post, for when he got it. You can see, it doesn’t look so bad – and you can also see, the short time he’s had it! Oh well, life is a learning curve, no-less… :)
