Probably not, I usually go through phases, and my current phase leaves me with little enthusiasm (or is it time) to blog? Beyond my many projects, outside of my full-time job, I also recently took up learning Spanish, which I am enjoying very much. The new found challenge, and reward of it all is well… Rewarding! I’ve got a couple of CD sets to work from, one of which is ALL AUDIO based. I put it on, Easter Monday and the first few minutes was some dialogue. I recall listening to it, and thinking to myself:-

“Oh My God, I am never going to understand that, is this really for beginners”

To my surprise, by the end of the week, whilst listening to the ‘CD’s’ on my iPod, i have mastered the first section, and have picked up pretty much all the words along the way. I’ve also been writing keywords on my hand all day, and it leaves me wondering… You remember when you were young, people would say “Don’t do that, you’ll get ink poisoning…”. I beg the question, can you do any damage by using writing on your hand really? I can’t imagine so, but If over the course of 6 months I do it for 4 months, will it do me any damage? I sure hope not!

…Anyway, moving back from that slight tangent, it’s been going well, and I’ve been enjoying doing it. I am keen to carry on learning, and sure as hell hope I can keep up what feels like a ‘pacey’ start to Spanish!
