iTunes, don’t get version 7.

With version comes new ways to view and access your music, which is a joy to behold, offering a richer graphical view of your music. However you soon realize that unless you buy ALL your music from the iTunes Store, you probably need to put some time into making it look good. For me, this entailed retagging genre’s and albums, creating LOADS of compilations and fetching alot of album art. Happy now it’s done, but jesus, that took hours!

I have all my music tagged, album art’d and set up as compilations from day 1 of using iTunes.

Love the cover art browser, much better implimentation than Coverflow.

Well that’s annoying! I had it tagged fairly well, but it needed alot of tweaking. I have alot of songs tht don’t have albums, so I used to tag them as say ‘R&B Single’. I had to go through, and make them compililations, and remove album art – otherwise the Compilation artwork would be one random image from a collection of songs greater than 200. I am very particular about this kind of stuff, hence the time I put in to perfecting it – I presume you’re the same way mate.

CoverFlow was always a great app to wow your friends over, ones who always snear when they see my Mac. I’ve heard it doesn’t run so great on Windows XP, boo hoo! :P
