SWOS – Xbox Live Arcade!!!!!

Ok, so I am totally battered, so so tired, and I am desperate for my bed, but I just was catching up on the masses of RSS I have from today. One reading in particular stopped in my tracks, that being SWOS for Xbox Live Arcade. SWOS, being ‘Sensible World Of Soccer’, now this is massive, for me. I grew up wasting months of my life on this title, this is *MY* childhood game, and I simply cannot wait for it’s re-incarnation on the Xbox 360. I was reading on Codemasters forums, back in June, murmmerings about the title, I even signed a petition begging for the title. I was hopeful, but didn’t believe it’d happen… Now? Wow, I am shocked! :o Even more so when I read this quote…

“Codemasters and Microsoft have revealed to IGN UK that Sensible World of Soccer, the newest edition of the classic arcade footie game, is set to step onto the Xbox 360 pitch in Q1 2007, via Xbox Live Arcade. Alongside the usual mix of management and fast-paced field action, the special Live Arcade edition of Sensible World of Soccer will take the game online, offering head-to-head matches, friendlies, tournaments and custom leagues. If you’d rather be a billy-no-mates, Sensible World of Soccer’s offline mode features the classic twenty-season career mode, offering up the chance to play as thousands of different teams.     yeh I know u have a PSP, Id be surprised if u didnt! ;) I’m trying to say that since u play these games so much, I bet this is how ur eyes must look at work after a nights play =P %)

    I don’t actually play games so much really. I guess because I am somewhat involved in ‘games’ I write about them, more than I play them. Especially with the web and print stuff i’ve been working on, time for gaming is few and far between. :(

    I do game :) Need For Speed is my all time fav game! I got all the edditions lol what else do I play? Some football too.. Think I’m gonna get that Football Manager you talked about :) Tho Im not an obsessive gamer, I mostly use my PS2 as a dvd player.. Those games tend to deprive the world of me for like a week or so :o so i try to stay away from that drug ;)

    Haha, Football Manager will eat your life away, honestly. My disc isn’t working, for the xbox 360 version, so I can’t waste my life with that anymore! Probably a mixed blessing?!

    Need for speed? Hm… I’m not a big fan, they’re not bad games I suppose, but If I was to compare the game to music, NFS would be ‘Pop’… :P

    The PSP version of NFS I’ve been playing is actually quite alot of fun. It has a nice feel for ‘speed’, I’m enjoying it! :)
