Deaf People and TV’s.

I just finished watching Arachnaphobia, and after that was some show on BBC One about animals. Now, this in itself is nothing extraordinary, but the show has sign language too. You know the drill, some woman in the corner of the screen doing all these crazy signs to demonstrate what’s going on. Now I tried for a minute, muting the TV and seeing how it is, for the deaf folk. First thing that hits me? How can you watch the ‘TV Show’ and watch her doing ‘signs’ at the same time. I find myself watching her and missing the show, or watching the show but having no idea what the hell is going on. What’s the crack here?! Sheesh… :?

    Yeah that film about spiders was weird, not really that scary just freaky!
