iPhone finally comes to fruition.

Ok, so I am VERY tired, i literally haven’t stopped all day until 1am and now after a little RSS catchup i am too tired to really air my thoughts. But finally, Apple’s long overdue cell phone is announced, due QUATER FOUR in the UK (Yes think November folks). For me this is a problem, I am eager to upgrade now, and the phones NOW aren’t worthy upgrades, so I am in a dilemma. First impressions of the iPhone are as follows:

- No keyboard? Err… I had a P900 and it got annoying quickly with no keyboard.

- 8 Gb, awesome. I have 2Gb on my W900i but it’s not nearly enough anymore.

- 3.5″ screen. Perfect, I love my PSP, I am sure I will love iPhone’s widescreen display too.

- WiFi, Bluetooth 2. A necessity in this generation of feature rich mobiles? No UMTS/3G? Psh, that’d be a downgrade for me…

I have alot more to say on the device, i’ll share when I have free time, and willing eyes.

…Apple released another product today too? Sucks for that product huh? Not even a new iMac could parralell the frenzy surrounding ‘iPhone’… :|

    What is a ‘QUATER’ and don’t you mean quarter? :P

    I just ended my contract with Orange and I’m no longer mobile, so I’m using my landline for everything until the iPhone comes out.

    Pssha, it’s been a very hard week mate!

    iPhone? I’m not really convinced. I am sure it’s not going to be a bad device, but i have aspirations that require me to not be tied down to a NEW 2 year deal, come November. Plus iPhone isn’t spec heavy really… I’ve got my eyes on phones hitting Q1 & Q2… I’ll blog about them. :)

    i loved the iPhone actually! suits for me :)
    but i hav the same dilemma as you.. I wanna upgrade my phone too (yes, i know mine sucks =P) but now I’m thinking of waiting coz I have a friend who can get me the iphone as soon as it comes out in the States.. looking forward to ur new “phone posts”. I trust ur oppinion :)

    Hey stranger. I will get around to this post, i’ve been very busy myself, and last night it caught up with me. I EASILY slept 12hrs last night – much needed. Christina, your phone is unlikely to work outside the USA, unless you can already unlock a branded cingular phone… It will be branded like all major cell carriers do, so… But yeah, i’ll do that post, maybe tonight. :)
