The night before…

So it’s the eve of my big trip, literally because i’m leaving at about 5am. I don’t even have the luxury of Xbox Live Gold to tide me over now, so who knows what i’ll do to pass the time of day? I’ve still got to pack, and many people scorn when they hear me say that, but damn… It’s a bag i’m packing, not a suitcase! Judging by the gear I do have ready though, it looks like i reckon my bag will be half full, which sounds about right! I might chuck a few things after the first week, who knows, but most people seem to be telling me less is more. Don’t know what the ladies think of that, though?

I just got back from Clare’s and it’s kinda nice now, to know the rest of the evening, is mine. Every night pretty much for the past 2 weeks or so had been really busy, going out seeing people and having a laugh. Don’t get me wrong, it was alot of fun, I enjoyed it, but damn is it tiring?!

As for keeping upto date, well i’m hoping my Gmail contacts has everyone who ought to care to read my shenanigans. If ive missed anyone, it’s not personal – trust me i’ve had alot to sort out, do and see in the last week especially. My blog will be alive still, draining money from my account monthly, but updates might be very few and far between, if at all. I’d love to blog alot, but realistically I won’t spend much time at the computer, so a hefty mass email will problem be the weapon of choice! I do intend to write in my notepad, as often as I can, so maybe those notes might translate to something the world could read, in the future?

New York’s my first stop, we’ve got a hostel booked for the first two nights, courtesy of Nat’s mum; that’s really sweet of her. I’ve been given a handheld guide to New York, which seems to list everything worth seeing, so it looks like I could know the place inside out, in the 10 or so hours it takes to get there.

Now, i’m just sat here thinking, what clothes do I take? America isn’t likely to be overly hot, or so it seems, so i’m guessing my dress won’t be wildly different from what i’m wearing now. After America? Well… I’ll be well into the backpacking way of life, i’d of probably bought and thrown numourous items of clothing and I’ll be in good stead.

Wish my luck, and one way or another, i’ll be in touch! :)

Yo dude, not going to post in some in-personal post on MB. Just wanted to say I hope you have (-are!-) a fantastic time dude. I’m very jealous, make the most of it, you don’t get many opportunities like this.

Add me to whatever mailing list Duke was on about.
