Fairwell legend…

According to the Beeb, the baby faced assassin, Ole Gunnar Solskaer is expected to announce his retirement from football, on Monday. Whilst he’s not exactly been a regular in the United team, he’ll be sorely missed, as forever a United great. His constant barrage of goals (alot of which off the bench), 126 from 366, will be missed, but he’ll always been remembered for one thing. His special last minute winner in the 1999 champions league final; what a legend. The beeb continues to suggest Ole has been coaching young players, let’s hope he sticks at the club that made him an ‘ambassador’ as a member of the staff for many years to come.

So, where does this leave United now? In terms of strikers, very thin indeed. Again, the beeb mentions the fact United only have Rooney, Saha and Tevez. Whilst this is true, there is a wealth of attacking options from midfield, with Giggs, Ronaldo, Park, Scholes, Nani to name a few players who’d be more than willing to either play upfront, or just ‘off’. Whilst another striker would be ideal (there’s 2 days left in the transfer window?!), all is not lost with regards to attacking options at Manchester United. :)
