Pool shark indeed!

So, whilst travelling, me and my ‘northern’ buddy Chris battled it out over many things, we’re blokes it’s in our nature. One of the many things I schooled Chris at, was pool, we played in Fiji, New Zealand and Australia spanning 3 months, and a massie 82 games (yes we were counting). It ended, 42-40 in an epic 3-4hr session in Brisbane, a couple of days before my departure from Oz.

Since coming home, i’ve not had a chance to hone my skills, well until Wednesday night, when I met up with a couple of mates for a drink and some more pool. Poor Matt and Rich agreed to play “winner stays on”, and subsequently, I played 10, and lost just once. It was really nice to see Rich again, having not met since I’d come home, from Bangkok, early August. I spent the earlier part of the day, with Matt as we went to ‘The Oracle’ shopping centre in Reading. Not a bad place, though it’s not quite like the MK centre in Milton Keynes. Then again, I imagine any mall, is quite something else, when you have money, huh?

Speaking of malls, I recently did a ‘trade’ online with someone for a copy of Dead Rising, in exchange for my copy of Rainbow Six Vegas. I’m really looking forward to getting dirty, kill 53,000 zombies and so forth. :) SWOS never came out, for the arcade, which is abit annoying, I’ve been waiting for that game forever. Can anyone tell me what is really going on? Jesus, it’s the ONLY arcade game I’ve ever actually cared for!

The UEFA Champions league draw was made today, and it doesn’t look too bad for Manchester United, most notably drawn against Roma; a team they hammered 7-1, in last seasons competition.

Group F
MANCHESTER UNITED
Roma
Sporting Lisbon
Dynamo Kiev

The theme of football continues, today was my first time actually playing, since March and now a few hours later I am feeling the pain of it. I wondered how unfit I would of become and although it does show, I don’t feel as bad as I expected. My touch thankfully hasn’t left me, and I hope to god, I can find a new team, and group of friends to play football with in Manchester! :)
