iTunes. Infectious!

So it’s a stupid hour of the morning, and I find myself writing utter nonsense to pass the time. Prior to writing this, i’ve probably spent about an hour on iTunes, going from place to place watching video & checking out new music along the way. It’s needless to say, i’ve wasted money I didn’t plan on spending, because of iTunes, and it’s ease of use. As much as I commend it, for delivering everything in a nice, simple way, it’s not great for my wallet.

I’m happy to see more and more content is being delivered through ‘iTunes Plus’ now and where possible i’ve been grabbing that. For those not familar, iTunes plus is twice the bitrate (or quality to those less techy people reading) and also DRM free (you aren’t bound to restrictions like most content on the iTunes store). Whether this content will work on my Walkman phone, we shall see, but I can’t see why not? I hope more labels support DRM free music, and give us the power to use the music we purchase however we choose.

The one thing that IS annoying me at the moment, is after every song, iTunes takes roughly a minute ‘processing’ before moving onto the next track. Why? I wouldn’t mind, but the queue for downloads is sat at 61, and with every track weighing in at roughly 10-15Mb, it might be a while…
