Witnessed a truly GREAT Game today. Media hype was MASSIVE prior to the game, and its been the talking point at work, at football, on the TV, everywhere…
The game was obviously scrapped, i think it was 40 fouls during the ninety mins, but no-one got sent off, which is a surprise. The game, in short hinged on the decisions of the Referee, who awared Man Utd a penalty after 70 odd mins, after Sol (cambell) appeared to foul Rooney in the Box. Ruud, stepped up and sunk the penality, and the relief was truly evident from his celebration – coming after him missing a penalty in the exact same fixture, last season.
Rooney added a second in the 91st minute, which sealed the Win. Ronaldo should have earnt his club a third, but i guess a Refs’ good decisions, and his bad ones even out over the coarse of the season! 
- Aside from just being news, i won £10 from my dad on this game. We had a tenner each on the game, and me being a Closet Man Utd obvs went for the home team! Heh, i don’t often lose a bet with him!
