A few days gone by, what’s up? Well most importantly, it seems we’ve a place to live! Great, umm hmm… Yeah, I know it makes us all sound like such pikey’s – the whole situation was quite surreal really, but unless something turns sour in processing, I guess we’ll be moving home in the next 10 days or so. Whilst it’s nice we’ve found a place, there is a downside to it. It’s situated directly across town from where I am now, more so on the opposite outer edge of the town itself, which leaves me about 2-3 miles from both work, AND the sports centre. In some ways people might consider it blessing – one way or another, it’s bound to be good for my body. Yet I don’t feel i need to do more exercise dammit , so i am not so down with that.

I happened to be speaking with my boss, where I explained i’d have to get a new bike soon, because walking will take me at least 30mins, probably more like 45. Strangely enough, we have had a bike over from a promotion we’d done at Christmas time, and to my surprise, he was like:

“Why not have the one at work?”

I was like – I really didn’t expect that, so that’s like totally awesome. (Yes i appreciate I sound VERY american saying “totally awesome” – “meh” to you all! )

There is another upside to the move though. I used to live that side of town, most of my youth. Yes i know I proclaim to still be a youngster, well in the company of some ‘elders’ anyhow, but I admit defeat in owning up to becoming a little “past it”. I have some of best memories with my friends in that area, and to be back closer to those guys, will be a good thing. Not such, is the fact most think they should settle down at ages, in and around 20yrs old, but still, I’ll try and get them out!

Asides from moving, we had a really good Tuesday night’s footy – Ay Mike – Although Rich doens’t quite see it that way, haha no biggy mate. That’s now:

Played 12, won 11 drew 1 – We drew with 2nd place, who inform me they’ve won this ‘tuesday league’ EVERY single season in about 15yrs. I can quite believe it, they really are a great team, and i’ve always seen them far clear at the top of the league. That makes it all the more satisfying, to be sat ontop of them, at the mid-season point. It’s nice to know we’ve played all the teams in the league now, and only dropped 2pts. Good stuff! Mike, if you’re reading mate, 19 goals. Say no more!

Just recently whipped up another flyer, for ‘Frenco’ for a forthcoming promotion on Mintex equipment and parts. Looking kinda cool I think, a little alteration to make, but i’ll post up a preview of that shortly. I’ve got a few other items to do for them too, but fortunately no heavy deadlines on them. This week, I submitted an image, which will be placed in a local magazine for a charity event to raise money for Tsaumi relief. So that’s cool, sure I get my work printed, but this is another avenue, it’s real nice to see that. I’m gonna have to see if I can get a copy of the magazine, it would be nice to keep.

Speaking of charities, a few people lately asked me about my wristbands. Some might call it a fad, here in the UK, personally I see it as a great means to raise both money, and awareness for charities, and forms maltreatment among people. There’s a whole heap of wristbands, in select colours, which when bought, donate money to the charity of origin. Now this apparently has swept this nation, and maybe then some, which is great. I’m wearing a pair of wristbands from Nike. They’re apart of their Stand Up Speak Up campaign, which is to raise awareness of racism within football, yet no doubt it really is far more general to racism in all walks of life.

With all the work i’ve done in the coming weeks/months, I work out I am owed a pretty penny now, yet on the back of me being given a bike, I feel bad asking for it. Argh, what do I do? Wait a while?

I need to finish up Britt’s site too, it’s another one of my projects I start and then don’t get around to finishing. It’s need recoding (out of tables!) and then adding in all the other bits. i think it looks kinda sweet though, but it doesn’t offer much… Yet. I’ll try Britt!

UKHMM also needs finishing off, in light of the league (mk II) kicking off shortly. Damn, chaotic!

I had more to say, but well this is massive, and it’s hella late – on April Fools day too, so i better get some sleep,my guess is i’ll need some awareness for the tricks in store tomorrow. Dammit – Naturally i’ll be an innocent victim in all tricks! Heh
